Programme III “Digital Transactions”: support for small and medium-sized businesses in Greece
Vouchers for EFT/POS terminals, e-invoicing, and upgrading or replacing fiscal devices. Applications ran from 23 June to 5 September 2025.
TAXISnet, AADE and e-EFKA services offline on 9–10 and 16–17 May 2025

Important announcement
Because of Covid-19, from 18 to 31 March 2020 we worked with a skeleton staff from 9:00 to 16:00, with orders by phone and remote support.
Withdrawal of cash registers by 31 May 2020
Fiscal devices approved under circulars POL. 1234/2002 and 1135/2005 that could not connect to the tax authority were withdrawn; they had to be deregistered by 31 May 2020.

Connecting cash registers to the government IT systems (GGPS) and e-invoicing
Connecting cash registers to the GGPS was planned for 2020, together with the start of electronic books and e-invoicing.
VAT change from Monday 20 May 2019
VAT on food and catering services drops from 24% to 13% from 20 May 2019.

Withdrawal of old cash registers
Circular POL.1196/2017 sets deadlines (28 February and 31 May 2018) for deregistering old fiscal devices and replacing them.
Mandatory origin labelling for meat
Butchers and shops with a meat counter must show the meat’s origin, provenance and weight on their cash register receipts (Law 4492/2017).

Environmental levy on plastic bags
From 1 January 2018 an environmental levy applies to plastic bags. What needs to be set up in your cash register or ERP.

VAT rate change from 1 June 2016
The VAT rate rises to 24% from 1 June 2016. We extended our opening hours to update the rate on your cash registers.
Issuing invoices with the DATECS CTR-220 fiscal cash register
With new software, the DATECS CTR-220 cash register can now issue invoices too; machines already in use can be upgraded.
