Withdrawal of cash registers by 31 May 2020

An old mechanical cash register

Dear customers and partners,

The Independent Authority for Public Revenue (AADE, ΑΑΔΕ), the Greek tax authority, has taken another important step towards the real-time transmission of the data of every retail transaction made through fiscal electronic devices (ΦΗΜ).

By AADE decision Α.1011/16-01-2020 (Government Gazette, ΦΕΚ, Β΄ 85/2020), fiscal electronic devices approved under circulars POL. 1234/2002 and 1135/2005 that cannot connect to send data to AADE are being withdrawn.

Owners of these cash registers must declare their deregistration by 31 May 2020, in TAXISnet or at their tax office (Δ.Ο.Υ.), as set out in detail in that decision.

These cash registers were bought up to 31 December 2013. Take care that they are deregistered in TAXIS in good time to avoid possible fines, in particular: a) cash registers in this category whose fiscal memory is full, and b) cash registers in this category whose memory is not full and which belong to professionals who, because of the nature of their work, do not issue a Z report every day (for example street vendors, market traders, plumbers, electricians, car repair shops and so on).

In addition, cash registers bought from 1 January 2014 may need some upgrades to meet AADE’s new requirements (for example, sending receipts in real time as they are issued).

Drawing on 35 years of experience in fitting out and equipping shops, offices and businesses, our company has reliable cash register models in stock, ready for delivery, to meet the needs of every professional.

We are at your disposal for any further information or clarification.

You can see the list of cash registers being withdrawn here: Modela_FHM.pdf (AADE) (opens in a new tab).
