VAT rate change from 1 June 2016

Dear customers,

Under the omnibus bill passed by the Greek Parliament on 22 May 2016, VAT rate Γ (C) rises to 24%. The change takes effect on 1 June 2016. To serve you better and faster, we will be open on the following days and hours:

  • Wednesday 1 June – Thursday 2 June – Friday 3 June 2016: 8:30–20:00
  • Saturday 4 June – Sunday 5 June 2016: 9:00–15:00
  • Monday 6 June to Friday 10 June 2016: 8:30–20:00

From Saturday 11 June 2016 we will be available to change the VAT rate during our normal opening hours, as shown on our website.

Finally, following a ministerial decision, the reduced VAT rate Γ (C) also changes from 16% to 17% on 1 June 2016.

The reduced VAT rates (4%, 9%, 17%) remain in place until 31 December 2016 for the Aegean islands, except for:

  • Thira (Santorini), Mykonos, Naxos, Paros, Rhodes and Skiathos (reduced rates abolished from 1 October 2015)
  • Syros, Thasos, Andros, Tinos, Karpathos, Milos, Skyros, Alonissos, Kea, Antiparos and Sifnos (reduced VAT rates abolished from 1 June 2016)
